In a Detroit Free Press opinion piece, and in recognition of Earth Day, experts talk about how addressing the rural water crisis is vital to health of the planet. The authors were Joan B. Rose, director of the MSU Water Alliance and Homer Nowlin Chair in Water Research; Matthew O. Schrenk, associate professor of earth and environmental sciences and microbiology and molecular genetics; and Bruno Basso, John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor in the Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences.
