On X, formerly Twitter, the Department of Energy Office of Science tweeted: “#PicOfTheWeek: We can learn a lot about the cosmic recipes of space by studying the behavior of neutron stars. Using @FRIBLab, @ORNL& @michiganstateu researchers have reproduced one of the reactions that occurs when neutron stars feed off of other stars.” There is an image of a fiery neutron star against a black, space background.

Spartan pride
An image that has the green Spartan helmet and the text “Spartans in Paris.” There are three side-by-side images of Spartans competing in the Olympics. In order, they are: Heath Baldwin, Tori Franklin and Shay Colley.

On X, formerly Twitter, Michigan State University tweeted: “Spartans are studying across the globe this summer. Proud to be the #1 public institution in the country for study abroad!”. There are four photos that show where different Spartans have studied abroad.

Spartans featured in the news
In the Washington Post, Dan Jones, professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the College of Natural Science and associate director at the Center for PFAS Research in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, commented on sources of exposure to PFAS.
